Este salón remodelado hace 9 meses ofrece varios servicios y una gran variedad de productos para caballeros de todas las edades. Y es que la peluquería hoy en día ya no es solo cosa de chicas y cada vez más hombres deciden cuidar su imagen. Al igual que nosotras necesitamos acondicionador, serum, hidratación para nuestro pelo, ellos también necesitan tratar su barba y cuero cabelludo con productos específicos para su cuidado. De hecho, el pelo masculino requiere de cuidados precisos para lucir sano y joven, y son muchas las firmas cosméticas que poseen una amplia gama de productos destinados al cuidado del aspecto masculino. Entrar en Libertines es volver atrás en el tiempo a las barberías de estilo Victoriano de antaño del siglo XVIII. Alberga historia y curiosidades, incluyendo auténticos muebles y sillas de trabajo antiguas que datan de 1896, un escritorio Tambour de casi 100 años de antigüedad hecho de roble antiguo y sillas de espera de cuero, una colección de grabados antiguos, fotografías, pinturas y un fregadero tipo Belfast.
David and Kim Clements han estado en el negocio durante los últimos 40 años, ofrecen atención personalizada y tarjeta de fidelidad además de un servicio exquisito. Recomiendo reservar con antelación porque siempre está lleno aunque también aceptan citas si hay hueco en el mismo día. Compartieron conmigo una anécdota que ocurrió cuando compraron los muebles. Antes de darle vida a Libertines, algunos de los muebles, por su antigüedad tuvieron que ser restaurados y al hacerlo encontraron en sus entrañas un periódico nada más y nada menos que de 1890. Aún conservan el periódico, ¡menudo tesoro!

Libertines is going back in time to the barber shops of eclectic Victorian aesthetic of the late 18th century. It has an array of quirks and oddities, including authentic antique workstations dating back to 1896, an almost 100 year old Tambour roll top desk, antique oak and leather waiting chairs, a collection of vintage prints, photographs, paintings and a Belfast sink.
David and Kim Clements have been in this business for the past 40 years, offering custom attention, loyalty scheme plus an exquisite service. I recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointments although they also accept walk ins if there is a slot on the same day. They shared with me a story that happened when they purchased the furniture. When refurnishing and rebranding Libertines, some of the furniture due to its antiquity had to be restored and in doing so they found a “hidden gem”, a newspaper from 1890. They still keep the newspaper, what a treasure!
