¡Hola hola! ¿Alguna vez habéis pensado en usar film transparente de cocina como técnica en acuarela? A mi me llamo mucho la atención la primera vez que lo usé, pero el resultado, sobretodo en retratos, es muy natural.
Tuve la suerte de poder asistir a un curso de retrato con acuarela impartido por Chari Leiva. Chari es una persona muy cercana, paciente y que tiene una gran maestría con la paleta de acuarelas, era un espectáculo verla pintar en directo y ver como “mancha” tras “mancha” iba apareciendo la persona retratada.
Hi! Have you ever thought of using cling film as a technique for water color paintings? I was surprised the first time I used it but the results, specially on portraits is very realistic.
I was lucky being able to join Chari Leiva´s portraits workshop using water color and cling film. Chari is a warm person, patient and she is a master with the water color palette. Watching her painting was delightful where “stain” by “stain” a persons´s portrait appeared.
Pasos a seguir/Step by step
- Chari primero hizo el boceto y nos enseño a como calcular medidas de proporción/ Chari made the draft and taught us how to calculate the proportions.
2. Una vez hecho el boceto se procede a manchar con la acuarela, los colores que más usamos fueron la gama de tierra y siena / Once the draft is finished, Chari started to make the “stain” using mainly siena watercolors. 
3. Con la mancha aún húmeda se procede a colocar el film transparente, y lo colocamos siguiendo las lineas de expresión (por ejemplo, las arrugas de la frente, mentón etc.). Lo dejamos secar / With the stain still damp we place the cling film adjusting it to the wrinkles over the face (for instance, wrinkles in the forehead, chin etc.). Leave it to dry.
4.Una vez que esté seco, quitamos el film Et voilà! Ahora hay que trabajar en los detalles, pero los rasgos de Dalí ya están impresos /Once is dry, we proceed to remove the cling film et voilà! Now, we build it up the details, but the features of Dalí are already there!
En este curso compartí tiempo con gente maravillosa (Chari, Antonieta @antonietacastro66, Rafi…por nombrar a algun@s) es una manera de aprender y al mismo tiempo conectar con personas con las que compartes los mismos intereses, aficiones… y también desconectar del ajetreo del día a día. Fue un placer asistir la Noche pictórica celebrada en Alcalá la Real (Jaén) (¡mi pueblo!) con todos ellos, donde acuarelistas de toda Andalucía nos dimos cita para pintar lugares emblemáticos de la zona.
I met wonderful people in this workshop (Chari, Antonieta @antonietacastro66, Rafi…). It is a great way of learning interacting with people that share same interests and hobbies…also to chill out. It was a pleasure taking part of Noche pictórica (Painting night) in Alcalá la Real (Jaén) (my hometown), where watercolourist from Andalusia met to paint historical monuments of the area.
Aquí os dejo mi Dalí. Decidí darle mi toque personal, y pintarle los ojos verdes./See below my painting. I decided to give it my personal touch, I painted him with green eyes 🙂
